Mahomes set retail presale looks like the best buy in the hobby
Griffey Edition sealed is already well above sticker. Hobby boxes that pre-ordered at $385 now clear about $812.66 on the secondary. The Oct 1 Mahomes retail menu prices a Day 1 stack (Release Day Blaster, two blasters, and two double-megas) at that same $385. Using live Griffey comps, that bundle marks to about $742.35.

Oct 1 is a retail allocation, not leftover hobby
Request a code on BoBA's official signup form. Pick one bundle. You are not guaranteed a code. If you already parked the $5 deposit and have not pre-ordered, you are in for a Blaster Box. You can still request a different bundle. Codes go out by email and text on October 1. Limit one per person. Do not share the code.
The chase is the Mahomes Release Day promo SP auto, found in the Release Day Blaster. On the published menu that box is not a standalone SKU. It comes in the Day 1 Bundle and the Party Bundle. Every Release Day Blaster also guarantees a Mahomes promo of the diving-throw art.

Ken Griffey Jr. Edition launched with a Blaster at $39.99, a Double Mega around $84.99, and hobby pre-orders at $385.00. Those are not the prices the market uses anymore. Retail sticker vs what Griffey actually sells for
Regular Griffey blasters launched at $39.99 and now print about $57.13 over 90 days. Mahomes matches that sticker at $39.99, or $29.99 with the deposit. Double-megas look like the cleaner retail win. Griffey DMBs print about $178.24 against an $84.99 sticker, while Mahomes asks $115. Hobby is a different story. Griffey hobby that started at $385 now trades about 2.1×. Mahomes Update hobby is already changing hands around $500.89 before retail codes even go out.

Day 1 is the number that matters
Price a Griffey-equivalent Day 1 pile at current 90-day averages: $271.61 for the Release Day Blaster, $57.13 × 2 for regular blasters, $178.24 × 2 for double-megas. That marks to $742.35. Mahomes wants $385.00, the same dollars Griffey hobby asked on pre-order, for a stack that includes the auto-chance box. Party Bundle is three of those at $1,155 versus about $2,227.05.
Griffey Release Day Blasters last sold at $275.00 and have printed as high as $600.00. That is the SKU people chase on the aftermarket. On this Mahomes menu the only official way to that box is Day 1 or Party, not a standalone retail blaster.
Griffey singles already printed big numbers
You buy sealed to get a shot at the singles. Griffey Edition has already moved The Kid Inspired Ink Superfoil 1/1 as a PSA 9 on Goldin at $73,200.00, plus a cluster of Superfoil and Inspired Ink hits around $5k to $6k. If Mahomes even gets a fraction of that singles heat, and he is a bigger mainstream name than almost anyone in the Griffey set, Oct 1 retail is the cheap way in.

Why the Mahomes set can run larger
- Patrick Mahomes is one of the easiest modern QBs to sell. Griffey already printed a PSA 9 Inspired Ink Superfoil 1/1 at $73,200.00. A Mahomes 1/1 in the same treatment has more people who will bid.
- Release Day is designed as an event box: guaranteed diving-throw promo, plus the SP auto chase. Griffey Release Day Blasters still trade near $271.61 months later.
- Hobby is already finding a market price. Mahomes Update Hobby Box last sold at $499.00 with a 90-day average of $500.89 (sales history). Blaster, Double-Mega, and Day 1 at $39.99 / $115 / $385 are still the pieces nobody has bid up yet.
- If Mahomes demand follows the same path, buying official retail now is cheaper than buying the same configs on the secondary later.

- Request a code on the official signup form. Pick the bundle you want. Nothing is charged unless you add the optional $5 deposit.
- Optional $5 deposit: guaranteed at least a Blaster, better odds on your pick, $5 off if you order. Already deposited and no preorder? You are in for a Blaster. You can still request a different bundle.
- Use a live email and phone on the form. Codes go out October 1 by email and text. Dig BoBA out of spam. They may send more info before then.
- A request is not a reserved box. Stand by October 1. One person, one code. Do not share it.
